Overview

The Central Ethiopia Region Foreign Investment Webinar is a high level strategic engagement designed to position the Central Ethiopia Region as an investor ready destination for foreign direct investment. The webinar is organized by the Central Ethiopia Regional Foreign Investment and Promotion Lead Office CER FIPLO in collaboration with the Africa Bangladesh Business Forum ABBF.

Purpose and Goals

• Highlight investment opportunities aligned with Bangladesh and international investor interests including pharmaceuticals leather textiles manufacturing agro processing and related industrial value chains
• Showcase the Central Ethiopia Region’s economic strengths industrial infrastructure policy incentives and government support mechanisms for foreign investors
• Foster partnerships between regional government offices local industries and international business communities
• Provide practical guidance and clarity on investment facilitation licensing procedures incentives and market entry requirements

The session will highlight priority investment opportunities across key sectors of interest to Bangladeshi and global investors, including pharmaceuticals, leather, textiles, manufacturing, agro-processing, and related industrial value chains. Participants will gain direct insights into Central Ethiopia’s economic strengths, industrial infrastructure, policy incentives, and regulatory frameworks designed to support foreign investors.

In addition to sector-focused discussions, the webinar will provide clarity on investment procedures, licensing, incentives, and government support mechanisms. Senior representatives from federal ministries and regulatory agencies will share guidance on navigating Ethiopia’s investment landscape, addressing common investor concerns, and ensuring smooth entry and operational success.
